well...i think they did a good job with it. it was much more realistic than the Anime Death Note Emergency Procedure iwhen Encountering a Shinigami:
REACH. SCREECH, and FALL!
1: Throw you hands above your head as high as you can reach
2: Scream as loud as you can while keeping you hands up.
3: Fall to the floor with a horrified expression
