A pioneeer of jazz this man is. What a loss. His wife survived him by only a couple of months. She died from cancer the same year. They had two young children. So sad.

You must know the family personaly, because you are so correct about Art's talent, the family has a rich tradition for achievements. His Dad was off the chain Duke Ellington, Nat King Cole style & that era.

I saw him for the first time at the North Sea Jazz Festival - had no idea who he was. After that one time I was hooked.
