I think you were talking about something else... having all the fame in the world isn't a reason to deserve all the fame in the world :S. I commend his playing, but he is overrated.

still wrong, cuz he has all the fame and is a legend cuz he does deserve it, and well at the time, he rocked the world. i think if mostly all people dig you, well then they are legendary. But all those speed kills ppl, well all they have are a minor par of the population. everyone at the time digged him. u just had to be there to kno so. what has he ever done to you? nothing! well, he does try to make, and succeeded at entertaining ppl so lay off man, he does it all for ppl to entertain

he may use the same scales a lot, but he's written some amazing solos with them. Also, I think he uses the natural minor the most.

He is overrated, he does use the same licks over and over, and keeps himself to play within one scale, which seems to be pentatonic minor, giving him the same sound as most other guitarists. What makes people be able to recognise his playing over other guitarists is his tone rather. Impressive guitarist nonetheless, but doesn't deserve the immense attention that he gets.

but none of ur shredders will ever have glory days. Why? because sure they have lightning sped, but their music only attracts the same people trying to shred. But not the world. GNR, led zep, hendrix, acdc, Scorpions, Aerosmith, and all the other legends, they all rocked the world! shredders only stick to the cliche sound that all of those death metal bands have. Y cant they step up like Buckethead? he is so unique! and he just does not stick to the same sound. u kno nothing about real rock

slash puts his freaking heart and soul into the music and if u know anything about music you'd be able to hear it. You cant because you think a Guitar Legend is overrated. None of your little shredders today will ever a legend to everyone in every country. have you any idea that when slash got huge with GNR the whole music industry was taken over crap but GNR, sounding so original, so sweet, harder than anything at that time raised the level. Yeah, those glory days are over...
