The effective *accuracy* of an eighteenth century musket was musket was fifty yards.
Its *range* was several hundred yards. Obviously, when firing at a mass of men, accuracy is not really and issue.

the effective range of a musket was about 50 yards even then u had a better than average chance of not being hit that was until the rifle entered the field

Muskets can kill from 200meters very well, but you cant aim well from far with a musket.
