When Barack Obama spoke in Philadelphia, PA at Constitution Center, on matters not just of race and recent remarks but on the fundamental path by which America can work together to pursue a better future, I shouldn't have been surprised to see some on the right and in the corporate media continue to focus on what divides us as I show in this video. You can see Barack Obama entire March 18,2008, speech at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v... You can see more of the segment in which Prof. Cornel West and Mos Def appeared on HBO's "Real Time with Bill Maher" on September 7, 2007, at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v... And, you can see the entire Bill Maher appearance on MSNBC's "Hardball with Chris Matthews" on March 19, 2008, at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...

i know a conservative is going to come and mark this down but i don't care and its the truth! conservatives justification for black lawyers, doctors and etc getting paid less is that other blacks don't finish school so the blacks that do finish still get paid less still???

I agree with you on some of your comments but there no clear Etymology for the n-word, just 2 theories and i know what i put and 2) blacks who don't graduate is a problem but what about ones do!! do you know blacks get paid less for the same job and people who have "black names" are less likely to get a job these real and study statistics just real as the high black drop out rate people need to stop looking at things from one side

"there are a very large # of ppl in the world who feel threatened and afraid of other ppls beliefs" I'm not one of them. But there is a difference between fearing and opposing. If you can't see the difference, then you have some growing up to do. "I think it should be held to the same standard; examined, criticized, comforted & understood by the same standards." Does that include you own bigotry? Look inward, sonny.
WeedOfCrime (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
My goodness, you do go on and on, don't you? "You were bitchin' about his fear of, or sense of being threatened by, someone elses beliefs," HIS fear? I was responding to CreamyBeigeGirl who, I think, is female. Am I wrong about that, or are you just not paying attention? "what you believe and/or understand what the founding fathers went thru; about what they experienced in terms of their fear of, or sense of being threatened by" Really? What part did I get wrong?

And more specifically, those that are victims of discrimination and those that are guilty of discrimination, even if they are the same ppl, being held & examined, criticized, comforted & understood by the same standards, the world over, throughout every society.
SpookeyR (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
I think that's crap! Bigotry, and all hatred exists throughout every society on Earth and I think it should be held to the same standard; examined, criticized, comforted & understood by the same standards.
SpookeyR (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
I would think that it is right to blame victims of bigotry for the bigotry that they themselves are guilty of! Ppl need to be held accountable for things. I think it would be wrong to say, or imply, "You were discriminated against therefore you have the right to discriminate against someone else..."
SpookeyR (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
I am though perhaps touching on things that LiberalViewer did not in this video. My point ultimately is that fear, and the threat of fear, is a very powerful motivator! Liberals aren't all innocent, as you might think that myself or that LiberalViewer may have implied. If you think that Rev. Wright is a liberal, well he's a fear mongering idiot too! I don't particularly disagree with the idea that "Two wrongs make a right", but with discrimination it doesn't apply!
SpookeyR (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
There is some danger however from someone like O'Reilly, Limbaugh, Hume, Paul, etc., fear mongering about Obamas connections to those like Acorn or Rev. Wright, due to the reality that over a long period of time a constant listener/watcher of the programs could grow up in a secluded environment where their small brain is allowed to boil over with conspiracy theories, in part filled in by those sources of inspiration and could pick up a rifle and decide to kill a US president!
SpookeyR (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
They do feel fear in some sense since they spread it quite extensively about others that they feel are there enemy! LIBERALS ...is another example!! However, this is what is known as fear mongering!! Many conservatives, including the religious fundamentalists spread fear about ppl within their own party! They did it about Mitt Romney, John McCain, Ron Paul, etc., etc., etc.!! Most of this post & the one before it have to do with the fear that is unwarranted & trivial. The KKK is not trivial!!
