bgrawhot: Wow. It was very clearly not what Nancy Reagan thinks. In fact, he almost immediately issued an apology. So spare me the silly explanation. It was a mistake. His mutt comment was directed at himself but, again, was very foolish. You can't blame Bush for the markets crashing any more than you can blame Clinton for 9/11. And for #4 - again, we all know what he meant. It was very poorly worded. Just like 'spread the wealth around'. He's showing how unprepared he is. Clearly.
