this anime takes second position in my top 3 all time favorite animes (and i've watched more than 250 ), too bad the last 2 ova's where Kenshin dies , are not real , but if they didnt make it that way , Kenshin wouldnt have been so famious imo O.o , its a perfect ending of his life

I read somewhere that the sakabattou is a real sword...sort of. That it is used not for cutting humans, rather for cutting crops. I think it's sort of like the scithe on the Soviet flag.
