Not to sound mean, rude, or like I'm hating but does Christina EVER just 'sing'? Christina has one of the most phenomenal voices of this generation but you'll never know it because of the over-singing & the (ha!'s) The only person that I recall doing the "ha!" was James Brown because he GENUINELY felt the songs he was singing, not because it sounds good. And I agree, cover songs & National Anthems are not to be 'over-done', you show respect. Christina can sing but over-singing becomes boring.

She starts out so great, then stops singing and starts showing off. Too bad. She can nail this song without all the stupid vocal tricks, she has the talent and the voice.

Great point. When Bey "oversings"(she don't), she does it on HER SONGS, she don't that on covers. She respect the songs. Good point.

Love christina but, I agree with voodoochild she is singing it like one of her songs, instead of ettas and this song doesn't call for the theatrics.
